I own The Red Sea by ISIS on 8" orange swirl vinyl but it has recently been re-issued on 180g 12" vinyl in limited colors. The CD version contains their demo cassette from 1998 finally available in digital format and the 12" contains the bonus demo material for the first time on wax. The first track "Charmicarmicarmicat Shines to Earth" is dedicated to the Melvins, Bastard Noise and Earth and sees ISIS delving into the world of noise. The other two songs proper, "The Minus Times" and "Red Sea" show a slight hint of what the band would morph into on their next album, Celestial. The demo material, "Smiles and Handshakes," "Catalyst," "Ochre" and "Lines Across Eyes" are very primitive in terms of the overall sound the band has achieved in recent years owing more to Godflesh than to the shoegazing genre they relate to now. The Red Sea comes highly recommended.
