7,000+ Strong

Torquezine reached 7,000 hits the other day! If not for St. Patrick's Day overhang, I'd have posted about it sooner. Thanks to everyone who stops by, contributes or has gone above and beyond and linked to and supported, including Justin Bartlett, Arik Roper, The One True Patchie (UKvlt), Sean Ingram and R. Randel Givens (ABSU soon!). See you all at 8k.

Where are they now...

Ex-deadrightthere Dave Powell doin' his new gig as the lead guitarist of fuel-injected country artist Zane Lewis. The guys kick mother-lovin' ass. None of this soft nu-coutry shit...just gritty, Texas-style REAL country!!! Check it out! Music or Die!!!

deadrightthere (part IV)

Beginning of poster for our first show as the 3rd and final line-up (07.04.04). I found this Jeep add from 1972 (my year of birth) and captured the letters to add the band name. The final poster was very different and more in-keeping with the drt vibe, but it was lost in binary during my divorce.

The thought process behind it was this, the phrase for the obvious reasons, the use of said phrase along with something old being advertised as new indicating that we had indeed changed, but there were elements of the old line-up there as well.

I also wanted to indicate a different vibe than the sometimes "all-to-serious" one that hovered over the band (ie: I tried to use a similar idea before and it was shot down by some of the more "serious" elements within group dynamic).

I wish I had the final layout...but you get the idea, (sort of), at least I have this.

deadrightthere (part III)

Layout I did for [the] album that never came out. The release was to include the album recorded by Robert (Bib Rick) Kinsall and the first two demos recorded by James Delgado (Kill The Client). The demos also included Tyler Berry (My Son My Executioner) on bass.

My idea behind this was to put it out after Morgan (Kill The Client) and Dave Powell (Zane Lewis) left the band in order to have everything together on one CD (The only thing missing is the Howard Hughes EP).

I designed this back in '03-'04 so it's kind of primitive, but it ushered in my design work for Tarot Productions (Proscriptor, Morbid Scream). Click the pic for higher res and note my misspellings and early "SOMA" influence. I've since learned to spell, but the O'Malley influence will always be present in my work, whether obvious or not.
